MasonicSpirit – General Terms of Use

1. Scope

These Terms of Use govern the use of the association management platform “MasonicSpirit” by associations, organizations and their authorized users.

2. Free of Charge Use

The platform is provided free of charge until further notice. MasonicSpirit reserves the right to change, restrict or discontinue this free provision at any time and without giving reasons.

3. User Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for all content, data, documents, images, texts and other information that they publish, store or process on the platform.

Users undertake to comply with all applicable laws, regulations and provisions, in particular data protection, copyright, association, criminal and personality rights.

4. Prohibited Content

It is prohibited to publish or distribute content that:

  • violates applicable law,
  • is discriminatory, offensive or defamatory,
  • infringes copyrights or other third-party rights,
  • contains malware or other harmful programs.

5. No Content Monitoring

MasonicSpirit generally does not carry out ongoing monitoring of content published by users and has no obligation to monitor user activities.

6. Liability

Use of the platform is at the user's own risk.

To the extent permitted by law, MasonicSpirit is not liable for:

  • content published by users,
  • data loss,
  • indirect or consequential damages,
  • outages, interruptions or technical malfunctions.

Mandatory statutory liability claims remain unaffected.

7. Data Protection and Data Security

Data stored on the platform is protected by appropriate technical and organizational security measures. Data transmitted and stored is encrypted according to the current state of the art.

Despite all security measures, absolute data security cannot be guaranteed.

8. Availability

MasonicSpirit strives for the highest possible availability of the platform. There is no entitlement to permanent availability.

9. Suspension and Termination

MasonicSpirit may temporarily or permanently suspend user accounts or organizations in the event of violations of these Terms of Use or applicable law.

10. Changes

MasonicSpirit may amend these Terms of Use at any time. The version in force at any given time shall apply.

11. Final Provisions

Should individual provisions of these Terms of Use be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
